OIL & GAS
In the oil and gas industry, refractory linings protect structures and equipment from high temperatures, ensuring safe and efficient operation. They resist sudden changes in temperature, without losing their properties, and protect against corrosive attacks from chemical compounds of hydrocarbons and reagents. In addition, these coatings provide thermal insulation, reducing energy losses and CO2 gas emissions and improving the overall efficiency of the process. Refractory linings provide adequate protection and insulation of equipment, contributing to operational safety by reducing risks associated with heat or chemical reactions. They are essential to the smooth operation of the oil and gas industry by protecting equipment from high temperatures, corrosion and maintaining effective thermal insulation.

CEMENT
SECTOR
Rotary kilns: Rotary kilns are essential in cement production, heating the raw mixture to over 1,400°C to produce clinker. Refractory linings protect the furnace structure from high temperatures and corrosion caused by gases and materials inside. Each zone of the oven, depending on the temperature and chemical reactions, requires a specific refractory. The refractories must also be resistant to corrosion, particularly in the sintering zone where the clinker can attack the coating. § §Refractories provide essential thermal insulation, promoting energy efficiency and reducing cement production costs. They resist thermal shock, particularly during temperature changes when the oven starts and stops. Their lifespan is crucial to limit frequent shutdowns, thus reducing production costs. In addition to furnaces, other equipment such as cyclones, calciners, smoke chambers, collectors and coolers also require refractory liners to protect against heat and corrosion. These coatings are therefore essential for efficient, safe and high-quality cement production.

STEEL SECTOR
Steel production involves the melting of raw materials at extremely high temperatures. Refractory linings protect structures and equipment from these high temperatures, allowing them to operate efficiently and safely. The refractories must be able to resist these changes without losing their properties. Additionally, refractory materials protect equipment walls against corrosive attack from fluxes and other materials used in the steelmaking process. These coatings also provide thermal insulation, which helps retain heat inside the ovens, thereby reducing energy losses and increasing the overall efficiency of the process.
